About Us
Enhancing the Quality of Life
The Awbury Arboretum Neighbors Association (AANA) is a non-profit community organization located in the East Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA. AANA was established in 1974 as a forum for community discussion and a coordinating center for neighborhood improvement.
AANA serves the area bounded by Washington Lane (between Chew Avenue and Stenton Avenue), Stenton Avenue to Haines Street. From Haines and Anderson Streets to Chelten Avenue, down to Chew Avenue. Our newsletters and notices of monthly meetings are distributed to over 1000 homes on 24 blocks.
A few notable places that fall within our boundaries are: Awbury Arboretum, Awbury Park and Recreation Center, Ada Lewis Middle School and The DePaul House of Immaculate Conception, where we held our monthly meetings before Covid.
